Donate to the LMPOA

The La Mesa Police Officers Association is a non profit 501(c)(3) IRS organization. In addition to providing our members with services, we also provide financial support for various non profit organizations. We are a proud supporter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, San Diego Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and Susan G. Komen Foundation, just to name a few. We also provide assistance to our members and other law enforcement officers in their time of needs.

The La Mesa Police Officers Association has developed a program entitled "Officers Helping East County Youth." This program assists local students who are doing well in school and want to participate in a sport, arts program, or music program. Without assistance from this program, the student may not be able to participate in that activity due to financial difficulty or lack of required supplies or equipment. The students are chosen by recommendations from the staff at a local school and by members of the La Mesa Police Officers Association. Once a student is chosen, a member of the La Mesa Police Officers Association meets with the student and finds out what supplies or equipment the student needs. After purchasing the necessary items for the student, the member then personally delivers the items to the student making it a more personable experience for both the member and student. The program was originally funded by members of the La Mesa Police Officers Association, but without the strong support of private donations it could not be as successful as it is today.
